　2001年ノーベル経済学賞受賞。

< 講演内容の概略>
　2001年ノーベル経済学賞受賞者であるGeorge A. Akerlof氏は、「レモン市場の経済学」以来、常に経済学に新しい視点を導入し続けてこられた。ゲーム理論的な発想 が我々の身近な経済現象を理解する上で、どれほど有効であるかを示した点でも、氏 の貢献は先駆的であり極めて重要である。今回、氏は“Economics and Identity”と いう全く新しい発想の研究を始められ、それについて学部生を含む幅広い聴衆に自分の考えを伝えることを希望されている。これは特定の個人が、自分の置かれ た社会環境の中から、どのように特定の行動パターンを選択するにいたるかという問題のゲー ム理論的分析である。
