KES Instructions to Contributors

KEIO ECONOMIC STUDIES

(a) Manuscripts should be submitted in a single file (including text , notes, references, figures, and tables) in MS-Word (doc) or Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format by email to kes-journal@econ.keio.ac.jp.  Authors submitting papers by normal mail  or courier will automatically be requested to provide an electronic version of their paper, and the refereeing process will not commence until after the electronic version is received by the Editorial Office.  Once a paper has been accepted for publication,  authors who submitted their papers in Adobe Acrobat (pdf) format will be required to provide the final publication version of their paper in either MS-Word (doc) or LaTeX format.  The preferred format for the final publication version of graphs and charts is eps format, but Excel format is also acceptable.  Excel format is acceptable for the final publication version of graphs and charts is eps format, but Excel format is also acceptable.  Excel format is acceptable for the final publication version of Tables.  Authors providing the final publication version of their paper in LaTeX  will also be required to provide a hardcopy version of their paper.  The journal publishes articles only in English.

(b) The first page of the paper should include:
  (i)  Title of the paper
  (ii) Name and institutional affiliation of the author(s)
  (iii) an abstract of not more than 100 words
  (iv) 3∼5 Keywords
  (v) JEL Classification Codes

(c) Footnotes, especially those with complicated mathematical expressions, should be avoided if at all possible.

(d) Authors should not submit more than two papers to the journal per year.

(e) Authors whose papers have been accepted shall transfer the copyright for their paper to The Keio Economic Society.  To post the papers published in this journal to a web site requires the prior written permission of the Keio Economic Society.
