We will read The Economics of Women, Men, and Work.(1997,3rd ed.) by Francine D.Blau, Marianne A.Ferber, and Anne E. Winkler. This is intended to be an introductory textbook of economics of family and labor market with many applications to experiences in U.S. and other countries. Those who are interested in economic ways to look at changing roles of women, family, marriage, and child-bearing in a society are invited to participate. The way we organize the class will be given at the first meeting.
